Great location for shops, tavernas etc. The bedroom could have done with a few little extras such as bedside tables, comfortable chairs and somewhere in the shower cubicle to put shampoo etc. Breakfast and lunch were superb!

Proximity to airport and availability of free shuttle. Our room location was quite load (street noise). Spoke to staff about possibility of switching rooms to a quieter location, they readily offered us a room on quieter side of building. Unfortunately the bed was not as comfortable in new room. It was definitely quieter.

It was busier and bigger than I expected but offered all needed. The Swords Express Bus service works really well. You need exact coins as no change nor card facilities are offered on the bus. Swords is the perfect destination for exploring the area; being close to the airport and for frequent trips into Dublin. We chose the Old Borough Hotel because it was easy distance to the airport. We have been to Wetherspoons on many occasions so know what to expect meals/drinks wise etc. Was super impressed with the hotel accommodation.

if like me you need this for a layover at Dublin Airport,...
if like me you need this for a layover at Dublin Airport, don't choose this one. It's not on a bus route or walkable so you have to take a cab, which added $20 to my stay. The curtains didn't close all the way and I happened to be on the first floor looking directly at peoples cars. One of only two USB ports didn't work but thankfully one did so I could set an alarm and make it to the airport on time.

The rooms were clean and we especially liked having our own private balcony with table and chairs. The location was wonderful and let us experience the Swords area. We walked to the Swords Castle ruins, the St. Columba Cathedral, the Old School House, and up and down Main St. It was all close by and gave us something to do since we were only in Swords for one night. I must add the owner made sure We had something in our stomachs and had fresh fruit bowl ready for us. I have travelled far and wide within the island of Ireland using BnBs but this is in my top 5 to stay at. Mary the owner went above and beyond her duties to print out paperwork we needed to board our flight during the covid restrictions. We will be back.

I liked the walk on streets and the history of the place and the Old Borough. It is the combination of a pub and a hotel with limited accommodation; our room was very quiet and good for one night. It was easy to take a taxi to the airport early in the morning. The staff we met were very helpful. A curiosity: there was one window in the room and it was in the ceiling!
