Excellent location and a great place to lay your head down after being out and about. Very clean and quiet guesthouse (can't help the noise from the street - you are right on the high street)

Beautiful seaside village, great restaurants, friendly vibes, amazing sandy beach, walking trails, great little gift & antique shops, very busy on the long weekend we were there, but it didn’t feel too crazy crowded, recommend visiting Broadstairs.

Really pretty, lovely clean sandy beaches.
Really pretty, lovely clean sandy beaches. A small seaside town with only a small shopping area with small independent stores. Some nice restaurants.
As with many seaside towns there are some closed down shops and more maintenance needed in places, a little jaded in parts. However the main town Beach, Viking Bay is one of the prettiest I’ve seen. Residents were friendly and it felt safe.

Do not visit in the winter or when it is raining. The menu is very limited at weekends and if there is a function at the time of visit, you can forget about any available facilities in the hotel.
We booked tea for one evening and this was extremely disappointing for the amount of money charged.

Been scores of times over my life - this was the first long weekend to see relatives who now live in Broadstairs - it's a beautiful English seaside town with tons of history and the best beaches, I think, in the south of England - wonderful for summer swimming (especially stone bay). has a great community feel, good restaurants and pubs and is wonderful for kids and oldies alike.
If you are in the Broadstairs area looking for accommodation I can highly recommend this hotel. It is a short walk into town and has free parking. The room was spacious and clean, and the hotel itself is a magnificent building. The staff are friendly, efficient, but not overbearing. Breakfast offered an excellent choice of healthy, continental, or full English options. I had the full breakfast which was excellent. This was a really good stay and if in the area again would book this hotel.
The location is ideal - very close to the seafront with lots of bars and restaurants in the immediate area. The staff were warm, welcoming and very attentive to our needs. We stayed in the Oriental room, which was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We had a cooked breakfast which was one of the best I have had in a hotel or b&b in a long, long time.
This is definitely going to be our first choice of accommodation next time we visit Broadstairs.
Amazing house in a perfect location, so close to the town and the beach but lovely and quiet and with parking too!! Gina was such an attentive host and so helpful and friendly! The house is incredible, furnishings are amazing and all such high quality. There is everything you could possibly need, beds so comfortable and wonderful showers! We would love to return to this haven in Broadstairs! We had a fabulous weekend! Highly recommend
No breakfast as expected. Excellent facilities in property. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Extremely beneficial location: minutes walk to beach, quay and town. Excellent security behind key pad entry. Dog friendly in small courtyard. Free parking along Eastern Esplanade again just a few minutes walk away. Owners giving excellent details of facilities and available for telephone advice when needed. Will visit again!
The hotel had a really nice vibe about this place , lovely building great location quirky rooms but functional, wait staff really helpful, as was the lady on check in at reception.
it’s not perfect a few holes in the service here and there , but well worth a stay we had great weather which always makes a huge difference, some great restaurants in Broadstairs these days which is another plus
The staff were welcoming. Our room was charming and well-appointed with a delightful, panoramic view of the beach and sea. But it could only be described as bijou. The bathroom all functioned well (lights in the right place so that I could see to shave and the basin, unlike in many even good hotels, didn't leak) but it was too small for comfort - not easy to towel-off after a shower.
We had an amazing stay in this luxury apartment. Very spacious and stylish and just a short drive away from Margate, Broadstairs, and Ramsgate. Our host was very friendly and thoughtful and even provided us with breakfast and snack items. The beds were super comfortable. Everything from decor to amenities was well thought out. We would love to stay again!
Exceptional apartment which absolutely suited our needs for space, comfort and location.
Lovely host who was extremely personable and available to greet and ensure everything was to our liking when we left.
Would not hesitate to stay here again. We love Broadstairs so no doubt we will be back to stay here regularly.
Needed somewhere to stay for one night. The Crown Bar & Guesthouse came up on an Google search. Great location just a little off the sea front in Broadstairs. The room that I had used shared bathroom but that wasn't an issue with me. Other rooms have private facilities. A friendly welcome on arrival.
A really lovely, immaculately clean hotel opposite the beach. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Excellent location for the beaches as well as main shops and restaurants in Broadstairs.
Location was amazing - a lovely beach stones throw from the front door. Parking is a huge bonus in this part of the coast. The apartment had everything you needed and more. Very well decorated and clean.
The location is just right for me as I have fiends that I visit in both Ramsgate & Broadstairs & I can park near to the hotel. Staff are friendly & always deal with queries promptly & efficiently.
Quiet location but really convenient for station/shops/restaurants and beach.
Lovely retro town offering easy access to other Kent seaside locations and Canterbury.
Would definitely go again.
I loved how friendly the staff are and it was extremely clean , the dinner was amazing .the hotel was very accommodating and went way beyond what they had to for my girlfriends birthday
The place was lovely and clean and accurately shown in the photos. It was clean and tidy and felt private. Good location for walking and parking was fine (although better to reverse in)
Breakfast like everything else was excellent and I would definitely recommend staying at the botany bay hotel staff make you feel welcome and drinks and food are reasonably priced.
The apartment was very clean and comfortable It was well kitted out and so close to the beach with easy parking. I would highly recommend the host and the apartment
