What stands out most of all is the friendly, helpful, smiling attitude of ALL STAFF that we came into contact with. Nothing, I mean NOTHING was a problem or hassle, everything we asked for was delivered with a smile. The hotel is to undergo a £2m upgrade next year. This should make the place even better (but please keep all the same staff).

Located in Grasmere, The Traveller's Rest features a restaurant, bar, garden, and free WiFi. This 3-star inn offers luggage storage space. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge.

The views of the mountain were beautiful. The extra money for breakfast wasn’t quite worth what we got, but all the staff were lovely and room was comfortable and clean.
