Service, food (dinner for a modest fee served with the other guests were perfect after a day of exploring or relaxation at the pool and tasting room. Breakfast and all the fresh local bounty, along with fresh baked goods, meats and cheeses, was the best on our trip) hospitality, free flowing wine and port were truly exceptional. We had a room for ourselves and separate one for our teenage son. Both were large, comfortable, with well appointed bathrooms and views. This property and Miguel, the owner, blew away every expectation we had. The absolute best stay, and especially for the value, we had in our three weeks in Portugal. Cant wait to go back.

This guesthouse was very stylish and thoughtfully appointed. It had everything we needed and welcome glasses of port and sweets were provided. A nice touch. It was located on the first floor by a staircase above a very popular pasteleria which is where breakfast was served. This was one of the best breakfasts we have had and staff could not have been more helpful in ensuring we had everything we wanted during our 2 night stay. Car parking was very easy and convenient and free which was an added bonus. The guesthouse is also close to the train station We highly recommend A Tendinha to anyone staying in Peso da Regua who can manage a short flight of stairs.

What an amazing place and warm, wonderful hosts Paolo and Carla make you feel like old friends. Beware, booking.com's directions take you to the wrong house. Follow Google maps to Quinta da Menina Guest house instead and you won't get lost. The place seems brand new but charming. It's spotless and gorgeous. The pool is crystal clear and breakfast is fantastic. Don't make the mistake we made and only book one night. You are going to want to stay at this beautiful oasis and explore the wine area for, at least, a few days. I would have stayed forever if I could.

The room is not big, but very warmly decorated! The bed was very comfortable, slept very well! The kitchen is fully equipped and easy to use, perfect for cooking your own meals while traveling! The host was very friendly and warm-hearted, and the communication was very pleasant. He also prepared a welcome dessert for us! He really tried to make a sweet home for us!

Casa dos 4 Caminhos - Guest House Douro er með fjallaútsýni og býður upp á gistirými með verönd, í um 1,3 km fjarlægð frá Douro-safninu. Great place to stay when visiting the Douro Valley. Well located at the beginning of a great drive into the valley. Casa 4 Caminhos - Guest House Douro is brand new and the facilities are excellent. Also the hosts were very nice and most helpful. I have no hesitation recommending Casa 4 Caminhos - Guest House Douro for your stay when visiting the Douro Valley. Also they have parking right next door within the building which is most helpful.

Zimão Garden House er staðsett í Vila Real, 30 km frá Natur Waterpark, 31 km frá Golf Course Vidago Palace og 43 km frá Douro Museum. Not enough words to describe this wonderful place. It was so good so after we left , we decided to go back and stay longer. Perfect by all means.

Muas Guest House er staðsett í Vila Real og býður upp á gistirými með ókeypis WiFi. Gististaðurinn er með sundlaug, garð, bar og útsýni yfir sundlaugina. What a view! We got a balcony room overlooking the mountain and towns below, as well as the pool and cute bar area downstairs. The room itself is quite small, but the bed was great and we really stayed here to be near the scenic area and Fisgas de Ermelo, the truly epic waterfall within a 20 minute drive of the property through the beautiful mountain area. The host was great, friendly to talk to and gave us some great tips (plus a quite good affordable bottle of wine for the evening). Make sure to bring dinner with you or stop before you come for the evening as there is nothing in the immediate area. Breakfast was quite good too. There is also a pool and hot tub, although it was too cold for us to use those (even in July). Overall, if you're driving through the area, it's worth a stop!

We wanted quite and romantic place, out of the city place but close enough to drive by car. This place is located 20-25 minutes from the Sabrosa/Pinhao. The stay was amazing! The room was spacious enough and we had a big window facing the valley. The sunset and the morning views are incredible there. And because of the isolated location it so quite there. Except the room there is also a place outside in the property to sit and enjoy the wine and the views. The host gave us a taste of their own wine and port and we also asked for the breakfast (additional price). Wow, you definitely must have it! Aurora made us a wonderful breakfast. Everything on the table came from their own garden. And the view from the balcony (where we ate) is amazing.

Casa dos Primos er staðsett í Muxagata, 12 km frá Longroiva-hverunum og 40 km frá São João da Pesqueira-vínsafninu. Boðið er upp á gistirými með loftkælingu og aðgangi að garði. If we could, we give a 10+++. The breakfast ++, the hospitalty was more than o.k. Such kind hosts, such beautiful walking aria, we are going back and stay longer than 3 days.

Casa do Hospital-Guest House er heimagisting í sögulegri byggingu í Abaças, 7,3 km frá Natur-vatnagarðinum. Boðið er upp á garð og borgarútsýni. We had an amazing stay at Carlos house. It is a perfectly well kept, clean place with historical touch. Their food, wine, orange juice,fruits jams, orange cake etc are homemade! You MUST try it all! Our host Carlos was amazing , friendly, and warm-hearted. We will be back someday!
