I thought this was a fantastic place to stay. The room was very comfortable and had everything you might need, plus some thoughtful extras such as hairdryer, books, a deck of cards. I was welcomed with a tray of coffee, pastries and fruit. The host was very friendly and always available to answer any questions and help with ongoing travel. I have to say the breakfasts were amazing. It was quite a spread and very delicious with different items every day and obviously prepared with great care. I was very happy with my stay and would come here again if I had the opportunity.

Great guesthouse. It is newly opened and everything is very clean and well set up. The owners were very helpful and gave great advice about the area. Snorkeling with turtles at the nearby beach was a highlight of our holiday. It is very close by to the beach and restaurants. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed at Orange House for 2 weeks and had a great experience! The family who runs this guesthouse is incredibly friendly and very helpful. They cooked an amazing dinner for myself and 3 other guests! The location is very close to the main surfbreaks on weligama beach and shops, restaurants, atms. Would definitely stay here again!

La habitación es sencilla pero no le falta de nada (buena cama, baño privado y armario donde guardar tus cosas de forma segura) pero lo increíble de este sitio es la familia que lo gestiona. Son personas maravillosas con un gran corazón que te van a ayudar en todo y más. Me sentí tan bien arropado e integrado en su cultura y familia que decidí quedarme más días (principalmente por eso). Si quieres vivir una auténtica experiencia en un entorno donde seas uno más no lo dudes, este es tu lugar

It all depends what you’re looking for, but I had a very nice stay here. The room was spacious and impeccable clean, as was the bathroom. It’s location is magnificent, right at the beachfront with the colorful fishing boats, it’s a stunning view from the balcony. The owners might be the nicest people I have met so far, they were so thoughtful of every little detail (when there was a power cut they provided candles, they drove me to the bus station, I received a coconut on arrival,…) They invited me for a wonderful home-cooked diner and taught me about their culture. If you’re looking for a beautiful quiet place or want to get in touch with local family, this is your place to be. The lighthouse is 15min walk and you can swim at the beach in front of the house. There was no warm water but it’s hot outside anyways so cold shower feels very refreshing. The breakfast was nice as well and they will check with you what you’d like.
