Room was spacious, well appointed and we had a view of the lake. It was not in city center but it was an easy walk. There was also a restaurant and bar on premises and pickup for tours was just across the street.

The location is stunning, the range of activities available unbelievable, restaurants and cafes are in good supply and the staff are happy and helpful. Autumn is a ringer time of the year to be in this beautiful city… full of colour… not too cold.. just perfect. capital of adventure and sightseeing. easy life in the town with so many choices, particularly outdoor equipments. driving around the lake fantastic. only one thing need to mention that so many dead small animals on the road (crashed with traffic vehicles), need to remove quickly.

Very busy when we visited in April.
Very busy when we visited in April. Lots of eateries around the wharf area but most are expensive. Had a good meal at the Irish pub at a reasonable price. Went for a trip across the lake (40 mins each way) on the old steam boat the Earnslaw. The stop is to drop off people who want to visit the high country farm. We paid nearly $100 each just for the boat trip! Certainly not worth the money. That does not include any food or drinks. These can be purchased on the boat.

Ransom of the attraction, traffic very heavy on holidays, of course. It is in fact such an incredible starting point for ALL activities, or pure Farniente, from breakfast to dinner: any season offers everything : within a
100kms, day trip, so much to discover for any physical condition.
This is such a cool and unique place to stay. I chose it for the location (between Frankton and Queenstown) but was blown away by the aesthetic and the vibe of the Sherwood complex. The sustainability elements are so unique, adn the story of how they renovated this accommodation is brilliant. The cost is moderate - there are cheaper places in Queenstown but this isn't a generic hotel. The restaurant is pretty exceptional - breakfast was lovely and not very expensive. I will return when I am next in Queenstown.
This hotel is the ideal place to stay not only for the fabulous view which you can enjoy from all the restaurants, terrace and certain rooms but also for its service, the friendliness of the staff and the restaurant. The room was big and clean. The breakfast buffet had a nice choice.
Geographically it is slightly away from the centre (=20 minutes walk steep downhill and then beautiful promenade along the lake, there would be buses too) which is nice if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the town.
Friendly reception staff. Smooth check-in and check-out. Easy and cheap self-parking available just across the road of our apartment (park at double tree @ NZD 16/per day).
Good size apartment with full facility including laundry.
Love the view and environment around the hotel. Excellent spots to take photos when you walk along the lake side.
Swimming facility is good, they also have a small gym available.
Good complementary breakfast, you can enjoy the lake view when you have your breakfast.
We stayed at Highview Apartments for 6 nights. The apartment was great and had everything we needed. It was very clean, and we had a great view of the lake. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Close to central Queenstown with a bit of a hill to walk up. If you don't want to walk up the hill, you can ask the staff how to take the shortcut through the Rydges/QT Hotel. Wifi was excellent. Would definitely stay again.
That's a nice hotel. Great location, a good price compared to others, good noise insulation and great views (partially). Quiet area close to the airport, shops and just under 15 mins drive to Queenstown. 3 of us (a couple with 2.5 years old) stayed in a one-bedroom apartment, the bed and the place, in general, were good enough. There are a few things to improve but overall I can recommend and stay again in this hotel.
Fantastic stay at Melbourne Lodge from the warm welcome offered by Vineet (Manager) to the quality of the room amenities. Vineet provided us with excellent customer service throughout our stay, the room was very well-equipped and comfortable. Overall spotlessly kept by an attentive and friendly housekeeping staff.
Ideal location so close to Queenstown central, I can highly recommend this hospitable establishment.
The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The restaurant was wonderful in terms of the service and quality of the food. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone wanting a comfortable stay close to the city and Frankton. The staff couldn't do enough to help us as well! 10 out 10 to everyone at Holiday Inn, Frankton Road, Queenstown New Zealand! Also very close to the airport. 💖😊💖
Overall we had a great time in this hotel. All the staffs are so friendly and helpful. The restaurant view and food is good. I want to comment the housekepeing team who make up our beds all the time and especially on 22nd December. Car parking is also covenient.
Our first time in Queenstown and we had a great time and I highly recommend this hotel.
Clean, comfortable, well sized and well equipped room. Hotel restaurant was also very good.
Well located to Queenstown centre and other attractions. Shopping centre, restaurants and cafes within walking distance were excellent. In fact probably better than available in Queenstown but missing the glorious views!
Nice hotel apartment located near the airport and within the Remarkables shopping centre, so very handy for all your shopping and restaurant needs. The room had a small kitchenette to satisfy your cooking requirements and the hotel provided free, albeit limited, parking.
Location was perfect, just a short walk to the Town Centre through a private entrance. Apartment was
well equipped but a little dark. Nice to have a balcony. Bathroom a little old fashioned with no walk in shower. Overall very good.
Our room was quiet and overlooked the inner courtyard, with the cherry trees in bloom it was quite lovely. The hotel is close to the park and very central for Queenstown with many places to eat within easy walking distance.
The hotel was in a somewhat convenient location on the top of a steep hill just outside of the centre of town. The room was small and cosy with a decent shower. Breakfast was enjoyable. Overall a pleasant stay.
The apartment was super clean! Comfortable bedding and great size room - much larger than standard hotel room. Friendly staff. Close walk to Lake and Queenstown CBD. We're looking forward to staying again.
Comfy cheap hotel 5-10 mins outside of Queenstown Center. Rooms have heating and electric blankets. Double or king beds are 2x single beds together with king fitted sheet/blankets
The location of the hotel is awesome located in the city centre and by the lake as well. Limited parking spots but valet service offered. Staffs were nice and accomodating.
It was the cheapest place available outside of a hostel. I shared a unit with a family. We had our separate bedrooms, but shared bathroom and kitchen/common areas.
