We loved our stay at the Riad. We stayed there for two nights, before and after our hike to Mt Toubkal. The owners are very friendly and make you feel at home. Very tasty breakfast and dinner, amazing view from the terrace, very nice rooms with all the amenities one needs (especially the hot water was very nice after the hike ;)). Also, Parking is close by, and the staff helps with the luggage to get to the riad.

Absolutely loved staying here. Ibrahim, Abdou, and Muhammad made us feel very welcome. We stayed for two nights and had dinner prepared by Ibrahim in the riad both days. The food was fantastic and the views from the terrace were amazing. I highly recommend this place.

What , I like the most is the location of this place the Valley is surrounded by tiny villages located it on the cliffs of the mountains therefore we pick Arghare Village , the views where spectacular! Also the decor in the place amazing 🤩!! We had a small vehicle 🚗, my husband drove up it was a bit challenging , just take your time is part of the journey:) Said came right away and meet us. To make it easier. The next day I walk to the main village Imlil , cascades , like 25 minutes walk , everyone is nice 😊

Best place to plan to climb Jebel Toubkal (4160 m) – Morocco’s and North Africa’s highest mountain. Not only Toubkal but many other day trips and hikes can take place from Imlil including visiting Berber villages, with guides who can be hired locally with many different types of trips to meet your needs, horse, donkey or bicycle its all on offer. Note no local ATM machines so take enough cash or be prepared for a short trip to Ansi. Wherever you travel the views are inspiring.

excellent hideaway from the heat of Marrakesh.
excellent hideaway from the heat of Marrakesh.
Zarathustra restaurant cooked us a fantastic dinner, for the right price. We has a look to their rooms, and other that there was no air-con at the time, the style, price and size were very nice. Some of the rooms had shared bathroom.
We did not find good restaurants in Imlil other than the above, though we did not check other hotels and riads. there are some local restaurants that were ok, very local....

Even if you aren’t planning to hike Toubkal, I would 100% suggest Imlil for a quiet weekend to get away from the bustle and bustle of Marrakech. In my two trips to Morocco, I’ve visited Imlil three times, once for a day, once for several days on my second trip just to relax with no plans of hiking Toubkal, and then I returned with friends to hike Toubkal.
My experience with the people of Imlil is that they are genuinely welcoming and kindhearted, not just pretending to be because you’re a tourist with money, as I’ve experienced in other cities. The prices of things are also typically better than in Marrakech overall, although they are still geared towards tourists.
Despite being a few different settlements, Imlil is a small village where everyone knows each other and is happy to help you find what you’re looking for. There are plenty of guides for a day hike or for hiking Toubkal, and whatever lodging you stay at can usually help you find someone to guide you.
Overall, Imlil is my favorite place in Morocco, and coming here feels like returning home.
We had a wonderful stay at Atlas Dar chamonix. The family received us with great hospitality and warm-heartedness. The house is im Aroumd which is higher than Imlil that means it's perfect to start several hiking tours to the beautiful mountains. At Atlas Dar chamonix you find also a guide for the tours. When you travel with kids we can also highly recomend the place.
We also had dinner there which was the best food we had on our journey through marocco.
Thank you very much for the good time at your house!
Wonderful hotel in the middle of the mountains. Breathtaking view from the terrace. Exceptional food available at the hotel. Rachid is a fantastic host likewise all his family. Day trips to the mountains cliffs to discover the beauty of the nature in Imlil are available at a very reasonable price. The hotel is in a village in the village, so I’d say. You can discover the tradition of the Barber culture meanwhile relaxing in the nature. A special thank to Hamza who was our guide during the day trip.
The riad has a fantastic view over Imlil valley and the mountains from the terrace, which makes an excellent spot for breakfast. There is also a spacious, comfortable lounge for the chillier evenings. The staff were wonderful: Mohammed's food was some of the best we had in Morroco and Abdul was a wonderful guide. Abdul offered us many options of hikes and was very flexible, informative and helpful taking us on a wonderful hike we will remember for a long time!
Everything! Said, the manager was extremely friendly and helpful. He even arranged for the hammam for us upon our return from the Mount Toubkal hike. The food was delicious, the room was spacious with a nice view and the bathroom had a large bathtub--our first in Morocco. The Village du Toubkal sits a bit above Imlil but there is a road to access it in case you're driving. It's a 20 minute walk down a pretty valley through to the village of Imlil.
Amazing location and view from both the rooms and the panoramoc terrace are insanely beautiful. Abdou picked us up from the main road in the village and arranged a Mule for our luggage. The Dar is located in the higher part of the village; we loved it!
The breakfast was huge! Juice, eggs, fresh bread, Moroccan pancakes, fruit, and much more. All we needed. We felt like home and part of the family in Imlil.
One of the best experiences we had in Morocco as a hotel. Everything in the Berber house was built with taste. And the view from all the terraces and our room - ah, it was stunning to watch the shapes of the valley and the gorgeous mount Toubkal in the background. It was amazing that they provide such comfort in such a hard-to-reach place. The staff was very polite despite the lack of English knowledge.
My experience was great. I did spent 2 nights after all. Omar, Hussein, Ridal and Fadimzara from the staff helped me with everything I wanted, it was just the best service and kindness I could have imagined. The food was really great and also the service. Really like a nice little family there, I really loved the good mood. Will stay here again if I am in imlil.
This place is amazing. The family who runs it are so sweet and helpful. The meals were the best I had my whole time in Morocco. Beautiful views from my bed and the deck. Great hike to the pass, around the valley, and through sweet villages (thanks for the recommendation Rasheed!) Be sure to book the amazing, onsite hamam from the super sweet Berber woman.
First things first, the view is breathtaking. Secondly the authenticity is unparalleled. We loved the whole stay, authentic dinner, wonderful breakfast, a rooster waking us up early in the morning. It was truly fantastic. Additionally the path to Imlil is through a mountain trail walked by the locals, so that's a big bonus
Cute lodge up the hill from Imlil, fine it you have a car, walking is also fine if you like walking. Rooftop is great! Dinner by the fire was lovely. Rachid organised a guide to walk with us one day which was very good to hike around the mountains! Food was amazing, Ibrahim was a great chef!
Quiet location and walkable from central imlil. We had a car and a nice space was provided for parking. The shower worked well. Breakfast was good. The host provided snacks on arrival and was very flexible for check in time. The price to value for this hotel is spectacular.
Best hosts in Morocco. They can help you with everything you need while staying in Imlil. Said arranged us an awesome guide Ahmad for Toubkal. Not to mention awesome food and amazing view from the roof terrace... I would recommend everyone to stay at Atlas Imoula.
We really enjoyed our stay here - great location overlooking Imlil, lovely staff (who are also guides with great local knowledge), delicious freshly prepared food - we had dinner here both nights, and roof top terrace with incredible views.
well we spent one cool night in Aremd Hotel very close to Imlil village and what i can say from my short experience is, that the location is increddible, perfect for Atlas treks. very happy client.
Imlil is an awesome place to stay. Very tidy and clean rooms. Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. The dinner Harira and Tajine have been fabulous. We loved this hotel with its unique location.
A family run hostel with stunning views set in Imlil that is beautifully decorated, comfy beds, delicious breakfast and just a true delight to have stayed at.
Very basic refuge with hot shower and delicious food cooked by the host at request. It is located in Tamatert, a village 20-minute walk away from Imlil.
