From the pictures, we expected a hotel. This is a Bistro/ cafe, with rooms upstairs. Road parking if available. We didn’t expect the kitchenette, which would have been a bonus as we arrived on Sunday to find all shops and most food outlets closed .

We were only stopping over at Morecambe to facilitate a rental car return the following day.
It was a great place to stop for 12 hours. I don't know if we would have stopped longer by choice if we had the option but it seemed a great place for families with kids.
There is a nice walk along the beachfront and a statue of Eric Morecambe.
There are lots of pubs and restaurants to choose from as well.

The walk along the sea front was very interesting if you read the plaques and information boards. Don’t forget the stone jetty.
Take your picture through the picture frame looking across the bay or even with Eric Morecambe. There is even an artwork trail to follow including a cutout of the lakes which you can see across the bay
Plenty of cafes to call for a pit stop

Morecambe is very quiet at Easter and more suited to older people at this time of year as there is very little to do. However, it's perfect for dog owners. Most of the hotels and pubs allow dogs. The best thing of all was a gigantic ice cream purchased from a combined gift shop opposite the statue of Eric Morecambe. The promenade and stone pier, as well as the playgrounds are easily accessible and there are car parks on the sea front.
For TV sport and American style dining, The Station (opposite the Midland) is hard to beat.

Morecambe has a good selection of restaurants and the oldest pub in Lancashire with a very nice atmosphere, a selection of little independent shops you don't find in any town, we very much enjoyed our visit and would like to go back again

I Love Morecambe.
I Love Morecambe. There is a good community feel about Morecambe. i have wonderful Tai reasonably priced massages when I am there. There are street plantings and lots of seating. Good charity shops. Very good eating places. Lots of inspiring street art. The Morecambe bay views and sunsets are fantastic and the northern lights can be viewed from there. We ate plant based food at the Midland Hotel which was reasonably priced. It is easy to get around. the buses are regular and you can get rides in pony traps. I would never go to The Clifton hotel again but it was cheap.

Great shops and a lovely prom. when the weather is nice!
Close enough to Lake District and Blackpool to use as a base.
Hotel was easy to find, the owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and bright, well decorated, with an excellent view of the front. Parking outside is pot luck, but there is cheap public parking only a few hundred yards away if there are no spaces. Breakfast was good - the bacon and sausages were best quality. The owners were happy to recommend places to eat and drink. The lounge is bright and airy and they offer a small bar at reasonable rates or with a donation to charity. We had a good time in morecambe
The breakfast was exceptional - porridge , muesli, yoghurts, fruit. Plus a massive cooked "full English". Fresh flowers in the room and bathroom each day! Binoculars to help see the birds in the bay. As well as tea and coffee facilities in the room (+ biscuits, crisps and sweets) there was a cold water machine in the entrance, with cups and jugs to take up to the room if required. As well as help with porterage of luggage, a lovely mug of tea/coffee and a cake was brought to the room within a couple of minutes of arriving.
Hotel space and Accommodation was of a very high standard throughout.
Cleanliness Standards were unquestionably high.
Staff (Helen in particular) demonstrated a soft approach, very cooperative, friendly and understanding.
Meals were very enjoyable, there was one occasion only , where an issue arose relating to time to take to deliver an order, when challenged the response was professional, timely and understanding which was appreciated.
No issues with pre-booked parking.
When we entered our room we were greeted with a spectacular view of Morecambe bay. We could have spent all day looking at the view, watching the tide come in and out and beautiful sunsets.
Our room was clean and comfortable. For breakfast there was a good selection of cereals, fruit and yogurts before a full tasty cooked breakfast.
Our hosts Trudie and Alan were helpful and friendly. I would certainly recommend this small hotel.
We did not have great expectations of Morecambe - it was a convenient stop on the way north to Scotland. However, the location of the hotel overlooking the bay for a sunset drink and evening meal was the highlight of our whole trip. The staff were very welcoming and the rooms were modern and spotless. There was a good choice of food which was of a high standard. We will definitely be staying there again when we venture north.
Booked a room at the Auckland hotel last minute, at a cheap price. The room was basic, but absolutely spotless, which was the main priority for me.
The main selling point of the Auckland Hotel was the staff. I was travelling alone on a bike so had a few extra requests - that staff could not have been more helpful to accommodate. I’m looking forward to staying there again on my next trip to Morecambe.
Location was good for us nice walk up the seaside to Morecambe, breakfast was fine with freshly made hot food. Few good restaurants nearby and a nice little bar directly downstairs from the hotel, parking was easy. Staff were very friendly and helpful
We booked the apartment suite which was perfect for us as gave us space we needed.
The hotel is perfectly situated on the beach front with just a short walk down to the pier and amusements
I found the staff to be extremely helpful once we were there
Caravan was clean and tidy with all the things you need like bedding, hand wash, washing up liquid, toilet roll etc. Nice small site, kids enjoyed it. Good communication from owner of caravan, will definitely use again if heading to Morecambe.
Location as expected on the seafront with wonderful views. Staff very dog friendly and helpful. Moved my room to 1st floor instead of 2nd as I have mobility issues and lift was out of order. Disabled parking bay right by entrance.
Great location near the beach. Easy check in and access to the hotel when returning in the evening. Staff were friendly and helpful with tips on the local area. Tea and coffee in the room.
Property was clean room wasn’t the biggest and I believe I could of got more for £120 in places better than Morecambe hotel itself was nice and did not offer a breakfast
l like morecambe very much what I like about the crown hotel l could see the food was very good l didn't have nothing to eat there but I would stay again
