Breakfast excellent - no bath mat in bathroom and therefore quite dangerously slippery tiled floor( i am 83!). Very noisy until 2am with loud music coming from a club next door !
With a modern leisure centre and swimming pool, The Holiday Inn Guildford offers spacious bedrooms with air conditioning. Just 3 miles from Guildford Castle, it features an international restaurant.

The location grounds and lake superb place to eat or drink outdoors. The hotel has a bygone elegance about it which by careful interior design could bring it back to its former glory.
Like the breakfast idea in the adjacent pub bar.adds a quirkiness to stay.Room very good with honesty pay tray of goodies.Well worth the money

Firstly, Guildford is a very busy little town, with a dual carriageway splitting the place in two. The cathedral is definitely worth a visit, stunning architecture and views of the surrounding area. Lots of choice for dining and drinking. If you like a trad pub with good choice of beer and live music, then try the Star on Quarry Street. Recommended.

Small town vibe.
Small town vibe. Very vibrant and l enjoyed the delicious cuisines. I don't like the fact that everything shuts down at 6pm even on a weekend.
The closing time should be looked into, especially on the weekends.

Bit tricky to find town centre.
Bit tricky to find town centre. Cobbled streets are lovely but not ideal for wheelchairs. Nice individual shops and eateries. The park and ride signage remains but is no longer running. Parked in York car park. The exit to town centre is on level 9 but no signage

Lovely old market town.
Lovely old market town. Interesting individual shops, as well as the usual chains.
Lovely river walk with good riverside pub for lunch or dinner.
Interesting castle with beautiful spring flowers.
A theatre with good range of performances.
Older people should be aware the High Street is quite a steep hill.
Lovely town - many nice places to eat.

A huge range of shops and coffee houses.
A huge range of shops and coffee houses. Everything is close walking distance of The Angel Posting House Hotel; 2 maybe even 3 shopping malls, so even if its raining you can shop. Unusual shops, one off shops and designer shops.
Information Centre in the High Street, very helpful and got a map of town and surrounding area within walking distance. We parked outside of the town on housing estate as parking limited and expensive in the town. We walked from there along the river about a mile into the town centre.

Lovely city.
Lovely city. We lived a few miles away until recently, so coming back is great! great shopping area, although covid etc has had an effect on shops.
Love the high end shops, G Live, pubs & restaurants.
Parking is expensive, so P&R is better, south of town or at the leisure centre.
The room very spacious and big. Comfortable for a family. Service excellent, all employees are super sweet and attentive. Generally the facilities of the hotel are fine, you have everything in the same place.
Location is very convenient if you are in a car. As you can reach major airports, London and place of interests within an Hour easily.
Near to Guildford, which is a nice city with good restaurants and city life. Also a train station with direct departures to Waterloo station in London.
All in all, an excellent choice!
Holiday Inn, like Premier Inn....you know what you are going to get so you have to pay a little more for this. So rm good, breakfast good, something that one will happily eat on the evening menu (bit pricey but you do not have to travel for it).
I needed somewhere with no hassles, nice staff, in house food, everything working etc etc....and these places do it without exception.
PARKING: its a bit disappointing that despite the price, you have to pay extra for parking in a machine outside. A bit of a piss take I thought.
Hotel is in a beautiful setting and everyone was lovely. The room was clean and comfy and away from the main hotel, with easy access to the garden for the dog. We chatted to the new manager who, like everyone, is struggling with staffing, and also trying to improve the hotel in terms of facilities etc. It was a beautiful day to sit in the garden and enjoy the surroundings.
Beautifully converted garage with every convenience necessary for a visit to Guildford. It's bright, spacious and less than 10 minutes walk from the centre of Guildford's main shopping area. Definitely better than a bed only booking in a hotel.
I really enjoyed the facilities and the continental breakfast at Mandolay Hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making the stay very pleasant. The location also added convenience to my visit, enhancing the overall experience.
Staff here are always very welcoming on arrival, this is my third stay here now. Much nicer rooms than a nearby (more expensive hotel) that people tend to gravitate towards.
Always enjoy staying here when in Guildford.
Really friendly staff, the quality of the room was excellent and the location of the hotel was terrific (five minute walk to the station, ~10 to the Guildford Town Centre). The guest honesty bar was a lovely touch.
Location and character of the building. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Good breakfast available. Helpful staff.
I’ve stayed here several times and this is definitely the best hotel I’ve found in Guildford.
Modern well equipped hotel in a great location. Good size of bedroom which was well equipped for an overnight/weekend stay. Lovely bar with a good range of drinks available. All staff were friendly and helpful.
Well equipped pet friendly room, with a special personal touch! Gorgeous grounds and staff were very pleasant. Breakfast was delicious! Really gorgeous hotel with stunning grounds. Great location for Guildford!
It was fine, it's cheap apartment close to Guildford town centre. It could do with a bit of a refresh. It's a clean, spacious apartment which could adequately hold four people with two bathrooms and bedrooms.
Our room was sparkling and beautifully decorated. After a lovely walk in the neighborhood (recommended by the hotel staff), we enjoyed a delicious, leisurely dinner in the restaurant.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very helpful member of staff. Showed us round the hotel and then to our room. It was a very personal touch to be given a tour around the hotel.
Friendly, helpful reception staff. Big room with comfortable bed and bedding. Good rainfall shower. Excellent location on Guildford High Street and close to the station.
Good size room in a good location. Accommodation is separate from the pub so you aren't disturbed by the music. WiFi and TV. The bed was comfy. It was cheap.
