The breakfast were amazing and freshly cooked to order It also provided my favourite breakfast which I had each day. The gardens were excellent and very sheltered. The hotel was incredibly quiet and we slept better than at home in the comfortable beds. Excellent bath and shower.

The location was lovely, I had been a little nervous given that this is Newport, but the hotel is located on a lovely square and our room looked out onto the church next door. There were also 2 lovely restaurants just a few steps away which we tried. (At Toto I think I ate the most delicious meal I've ever had in my life!) The breakfast provided was superb and the staff incredibly friendly. I was staying here as I was taking part in a charity 24 hour hike and this was a perfect place to recover as there was a bath to soak my sore legs and feet and also an incredibly comfortable bed.

No wifi,. looking at the previous comments from few months, the owners are purposefully not providing wifi. The bed sheets, duvet cover, and pillow cases have not changed, and previous sleepers' hair and smell are disgusting. I wish I had stayed in travelodge.

This was the first time to stay in Freshwater and we selected a real gem in the property which was full of character, but Sarah our host was an absolute delight, she made us feel welcome throughout our stay and was so helpful. The breakfast was amazing and so many homemade delights from granola, jams, marmalade, honey . The cooked breakfast was fabulous with locally selected produce. Sarah also recommended delightful places for evening meals. We arrived from the mainland weighed down by the stresses of life and left fully relaxed. Would we stay again, of course.
