The suite was very clean and immaculately presented. It had everything that we needed and we greatly enjoyed our stay. We loved the house and the grounds which are clearly very well looked after. Dogs are more than welcome and catered for with treats and blankets. The property was very easy to find and the private parking was useful. Having a discount at The Good Sport pub was a bonus.

The reason our stay at the Traveller’s Rest was so enjoyable was in most part due to the friendly, helpful and very hardworking staff. The facilities are excellent from the cosy bar area, the beer garden with beautiful views and the restaurant where the decor and food were excellent. Our bedroom was beautifully decorated and furnished and very comfortable. We have already recommended the Traveller’s Rest to family and friends.

The hotel is a lovely old edifice right in the village, with comfortable rooms and a delightful light-filled breakfast area. Convenient to everything Grasmere has to offer. After a long, long day on the Coast to Coast Trail, our stay was a very welcoming respite. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even loading us down with a few free energy bars for the road ahead.

It’s a very beautiful traditional inn, with ample space in the room and free parking. Breakfast is delicious.

Unfortunately it rained for the two days we were there, so we spent alot of time in our lovely room and bath. So nice. Breakfast was wonderful. A nice respite in the middle of a busy trip.
